To educate, empower and equip women and children facing or recovering from domestic violence, financial abuse and coercive control.
Women facing domestic abuse
One in six Australian women have been subjected to physical and/or sexual violence by a current or previous partner. Almost 1 in 4 women have experienced emotional abuse from a current or previous partner since the age of 15 (ABS Personal Safety Survey, 2016)
Lack of economic security and financial resources is the primary reason women return to abusive relationships (Analyzing the Reasons for Returning to Abusive Partners, Herman, 2019).
Childhood exposure to intimate partner violence increases a child’s risk of developing mental health, behavioural and learning difficulties (Children’s Exposure to Domestic Violence, Richards, 2011).

Yourtoolkit.com is a free web-based resource for women facing family and domestic violence. Yourtoolkit.com empowers those facing violence through the provision of education and information so that they can change their own and their children’s circumstances if they choose to do so.
